"NBC is planning a curling reality show , hosted by Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi, on which contestants will vie for a spot on the 2010 Olymipic team."

 

This used to be called "try-outs" or "World Games"  to gain a seed in a competition.  We have come dangerously close to hitting rock bottom.  I mean, I feel slighted...I'm one mean bocci ball player & they've just glossed over us like we didn't exist.

 

But SI has no mercy & neither do I.

 

The Sign of the Apocalypse from the 02/25/08 issue:

"This weekend the Marlins are holding tryouts for the Manatees, a dance team of men with 'big bellies with the biggest giggle' ". 

So I've missed my calling & now Santa has a summer job.  You gonna sweat fat boy!  I been around; I been joggin' in Hilo and I've giggled my jelllo in Southwest Florida in mid summer.
