Man, it's getting vicious already and we aren't even offically past the primaries.  You can pick through my blogs & take some things out of context and suddenly, I'm Charley Mason's long lost brother.  "The truth is out there" (quote from x-files).  It's just that truth can be so pliable in the wrong hands. [ excuse me while I refresh my drink].

 

I remember when Nixon was on the hot seat in a new conference & a reporter asked him if he thought that "obstuction of justices", "witholding information under exectutive priviledge', blah, blah, etc.; were impeachable offenses.  Nixon replied with a wry smile and said "and I've quit beating my wife, too".

 

If you so desired, you could take it completely out of context and come up with a headline that says "Nixon claims to have quit beating his wife".  It would really be  a lie, but he did say it.

 

Bottom line, don't lie to us.  If you have a plan for healt-care reform, share it with us.  Also have a plan "b" in the event that congress is dominated by the opposing party.

 

I'lll stick with the opening quote, " the truth is out there".

 

Either way, I'll show up at the polls & mark my "x".  That's all I ask of any of you.  Vote.

Beautiful day today.  While I had a list of chores to-do, I went crusin' the backroadz on the Whizzer.  Loomis, Penry, Newcastle....the usual suspect passin' thru the usual places.  Damn, it's those little slivers of light in our lives that really make it worth the while.  The mopeders know just exactly what I'm talking about.  While mopeds are notoriously unrealiable, this challenge (gift?) gives the rider with the opportunity to practice "Zen and the art of Moped Maintenance".  But the 4-stroke gave me no problems today...pure cruzin'.  Ah, but isn't 90 mph is just right for recreation.
